I’ve been working on a full collection which I’m delighted to say was a runner up in the Cinnamon first collection competition 2016 independently judged by Susan Richardson. A selection of poems appeared in the competition anthology Trio, published by Cinnamon Press later that year.
Work continues on the collection, now in a slightly different direction, in particular since joining Kathryn Maris’ class at the Poetry School this year.
A selection of these poems were included in my debut pamphlet INSIDE THE SMILE
What people are saying about Inside the Smile:
‘Tamsin Hopkins’ collection is a joy that I keep returning to’ (Jane McCarthy Wilkinson)
‘Tamsin Hopkins displays an incisive wit and darkly evocative imagination in this collection.’ (Melissa de Silva)
‘something gritty and ferocious is ‘inside the smile’. And that edginess and unsettling of the normal recur in many of the poems in this collection.'(Appiah SAckey)
My work has appeared in Envoi, Neon, Lampeter Review, and a variety of competitio n anthologies.
